    Long Distance FFL transfer

If I were to want to purchase a handgun from a FFL's inventory without having it shipped, could I do the paperwork and forward it to the FFL, then pick the handgun up 10 days later? I dont want to have this gun shipped, and will be in the area next month. It is 450 miles away, so I dont want to go twice. Is this possible?

    TIA

No...your best option is to purchase the firearm from the FFL and have it shipped to an FFL near you. You have to make two trips...one to fill out paperwork in person and one to pick up in person...there's really no way around that.

It is a requirement that transactions be performed face to face at the FFL's licensed premises.

The seller will have to ship the firearm to an FFL local to you to do the transaction.
