    Gun Broker Transfer from Individual

How many of my fellow FFL holders are willing to do transfers from Gun Broker where the seller is a private individual out of state and does not want to go to a FFL on his side.

Me. There is no requirement that firearms be shipped from an FFL. Have them include a copy of their DL, don't store the CFLC number that they don't have to generate, and call it good.

There's plenty of us that will receive firearms in this fashion.

I not sure why you say don't store the CFLC Number? You are correct a non Lic dealer seller is not required to obtain a CFLC so how would it even enter into the picture?

          Thanks

It doesn't. Get the DL copy and call it good. I for one have no problem doing this, but then again I already have a policy for dealing with the situation when one of my customers is eventually denied.

I am sure it was a joke. A non-FFL can't get a CFLC number as they are not a FFL, so they don't get the number and the FFL doesn't store what they don't get.

It is best to get a copy of the ID before giving the seller any information otherwise you might receive a firearm with no copy of the ID.

That is a good piece of advise I never thought about. Thanks

Think about it. Don't store the number they can't generate. AKA, from a private party, no number required to store.
