OK, OK, Out of state purchase?

Let me start by saying I have searched But Not come up with my answer ( I'm Not Real Bright anyway).. If I am visiting family in Arizona and find a Shotgun I like, may I Legally purchase it from a Licensed FFL at his store? I know that Ca or Az do not register shotguns.. I have seen many different arguements on Forums for this question.. I have MORE Confidence in you folks so Here I am... Thanks in advance for your opinions, Jim

You can purchase it...but the firearm would have to be shipped to an FFL in CA for you to take possession of it.

You're bright enough to ask, and that counts for a lot!

Yes - BUT you are not allowed to take possession of it in AZ. To make the sale legal, you have to ship the shotgun to your Favorite CA FFL and run it through DROS and the 10-day wait.

This is a California weirdness; if you lived in a different state, buying a long gun at an FFL outside your home state is usually (because I don't know about other restrictive states like Massachusetts and New York and Illinois) more logical.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
