Worker's Comp. Insurance for an 07. HELP!

Jesus, does anyone have a good contact for someone that will write a reasonable policy for an 07? The agent I'm dealing with said no one whatsoever in California would write one, and of the 5 he went out of state for, all denied except one; who eventually did. We ended up having to get a quote from state comp., which was nearly $1900 a year for one part time employee, quoted at $15k annual salary. I know it's an 07, an "evil" gun store, and a new venture, but seriously? Any good contacts would help. I'm getting buried.

We ran into the same scenario, so we just farmed out the payroll through an agency. You might save some money by getting an individual policy if you have several employees, but for 1 part time employee, you probably will be better off with an agency.

So your Workers Comp policy is not an individual policy, but through an agency?

Could you let us know the name of the agency you use? We need to look for a Workers Comp policy too. Thanks!

No. By using an employment agency, the agency has the workers comp. They just send you a bill for the employee hours. That's it.
