PPT within L.A. "city limits" question.

I started DROS on a new handgun from a FFL dealer in Ventura last Friday. Every FFL dealer (except one within L.A. City limits) that I talked to said that I'm able to do a PPT on a used gun, the 30 day wait doesnt apply.

I agreed to buy a used gun from a fellow Calgunner, we meet at a FFL in Reseda, and they tell us we can't do a PPT, since I bought a gun within the last 30 days. ??? Is this truly the case in Los Angeles?

Yes, it is an L.A. city restriction.

Ok, thanks, now I know for sure. Had to post a question because I called the shop beforehand, and would get bogus info along with correct info, which made me think they were wrong about the 30 day wait between ANY handgun transaction, regardless of new or used PPT.

I am looking to do a PPT purchase. Outside of L.A. city, and I have purchased a handgun within the last 30 days.
Does it matter that my residency IS in L.A.?

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

How do they even know you DROSed one in the last 30 days? I would find a way to not answer the question.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

              That's a good question.

If the transfer is entered as a PPT, the state is not going to respond about the 1 in 30 rule.
