can anyone tell my if its legal to own a kriss sdp pistol in the state of Ca.?

Yes, it's legal to own, as long as it's got a magazine lock on it with a 10 round or less capacity magazine. Otherwise, it's an assault weapon.

If you want to buy one in CA, you'll need to find a dealer who will DROS it to you as a single-shot pistol in order to have it be exempt from the CA DOJ's "Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale."

For the record, Golden Bear Arms does this, but I doubt it will help you since it sounds like you're on the central coast. There is likely a dealer who will help you out somewhere in your area.
