    East Bay Area FFL

Not being from the area, I'm unsure of any locations in the East Bay area that can do a reasonably priced PPT handgun transfer.

I'm giving a pistol to a very very close friend and his new wife as a wedding gift. It's their first handgun to get them started off on their future collection. He's already prepping for his HSC test that he'll need to take. I'll bring the pistol up to the East Bay after we figure out where we can do the transfer.

For reference, we'll start out in San Ramon so I'd love some suggestions of where we can go to get this process started and he won't have to travel too far when it comes time to pick up the gun.

    Thanks in advance!

I only deal with them as they are very professional but not uptight. $35 for a PPT and your good to go. I would highly suggest you go there.

They charged you $70 for a PPT? Did you have the gun shipped to them or did you meet someone there to do the transfer. If it was you and a fellow California resident and met at their store and they charged you over $35 I believe that would be illegal.

Hi everyone....not meaning to hijack this thread but just purchased a Sig 556 online from Florida this weekend and looking for the least expensive FFL here in the EBay (I'm centrally located in Hayward, so reallly everywhere is reasonable). Just called J&R in Pleasanton and they want to charge Sales tax on top of everything else; Bullseye in Castro Valley spewed out $180....Anybody else have any suggestions?

That said this Concord site seems reasonable (compared to the others) just not interested in paying sales tax on an out of state purchase.

                  Thanks!

                  Jeff
