    HELP! San Bernadino/Riverside/IE FFL

I live in Northern California and my organization recently raffled off a Henry .22 Lever Action. The winner is from San Bernadino and I need to get the firearm to him.

In order to have the Henry at our convention, my FFL DROSed it to me. (Pictures don't create the interest a real firearm does!)

1st, does anyone know any FFL in the SB area that will do a long distance PPT? If so, what needs to be done on my FFL's end? (He's never done one before.)

If not, I'll need to transfer the Henry back to my FFL's inventory (He'll do it for free for me since it is for a non-profit) and he can ship it down to SB. If I have to go that route, does anyone know an FFL down there that will receive it and transfer it and not charge a ridiculous price?

This raffle was for a non-profit organization, if that matters to the FFLs in the area.

Thanks in advance for the help!

you don't need to do it as a long distance PPT. Just have the winner find an FFL in SB that will accept a shipment from a private party.

"split" PPTs are frowned upon by CADOJ and I dunno any IE FFLs that do them.

FFLs that your winner might want to look at include
    Bright Spot Pawn (riverside)
    Ammo Bros (ontario)
    Cal Arms (ontario)
Warrior One (riverside) heard good things about them recently.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Before I go calling all of them, does anybody have ideas on their fees?

all of those guys are normally around $40-50 + DROS. Mentioning that it is a raffle prize might get him a discount.

But your winner should be the one tracking down an FFL for him to use. Once he finds an FFL that is willing to accept a transfer from a private party (you) at a price he can afford, then he would pass on the FFL's info for you to ship it to the FFL. I'd suggest getting the FFL's FFL# so that you can confirm through ATF's EZ-check system that his FFL is current.

          Thanks ke6guj!
The guy that won the raffle is a real neophyte, but a nice guy so I want to help him out as much as I can.
I'll call around in the interim
