I have a friend that is in a bit of a pickle. About a year ago a family member (his uncle) left a firearm in his care. The Uncle who lives out of state told my friend that he can just keep it. Now I know intrafamilial transfers can only be done between parent child or grandparent and child. How can my friend get this handgun registered to him.
Also can my friend sell this firearm either through a ppt or to a FFL legally without having the handgun registered to him.
