    Glock 19 gen 4 frame.

    Hi,

Saw a guy selling a glock 19 generation 4 frame. It has to go thru the FFL because it has a serial number, but is it legal to buy since the gen4 aren't on the CA roster? Just buying the glock gen 4 frame to put my gen 3 glock 19 slide on it.

    thanks

From what I understand from CA FFL's - you cant DROS a frame. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Since the Glock 19Gen4 is not on the approved list, the frame can not be DROS'd as a "handgun".

I'm not sure on California law, but from reading Calguns I was under the impression that you could buy it from him if you meet at an FFL and it is done with both parties present.

Yes, PPTs are exempt from the approved list.
So, if both the seller and buyer are CA residents and they both met face-to-face at a CA FFL dealer, then it can be DROS'd as a "handgun".
However, if the frame has to be shipped, then it can not be DROS'd as a "handgun". Unless, the recipiant is exempt from the approved list.
