    Wholesale ammo?

So I have a business license and was interested in buying ammo at wholesale prices. Do I need an ffl to do this and if not where can I buy? Thanks for the help.

There is very little markup in ammo, especially the prices you see online. Unless your buying 200K rounds at time your best bet would be Walmart or online. Some of the firearms distributors have decent prices on 223 and other stuff that Walmart doesn't have the best price on, and I believe some will sign you up for an account with a business license depending on what type of business you have. There are too many of them here to list, but do a search on Google and you will find em. Sign up and you will be shocked at how little mark up there is on Ammo.

TRA is correct. The only savings you will see is if you're buying by the pallet, and that's mostly to save on freight. Even then, most places will make you similar deals without an FFL/resale license. Most of the prices you see on the internet is about as good as it gets.

I got better prices on .357 SIG on teh internets than I could wholesale. The distributors that I use only deal with FFL's. Zander's, MGE, Sports South, etc.. I paid $200 for 500 Fed AE shipped. At WalMart they had Win WB for, get this, $27/50. You can get 100 .40SW for $32.

Now, 9mm is a different story. I can get it between $10-$13 for 50 rounds in a per box situation. I can negotiate less price if I buy a bunch. Defensive ammo is roughly $1 a round wholesale. Plus shipping, of course. I never stock ammo but I am thinking of a group buy up here.

I am always looking for Beretta D models in 9mm or a Compact Type M.
