A 20-something year old customer wanted to join his friends hunting. He completed the hunter safety course and DROSed a Remington 700. He was denied. The DROS was cancelled and I gave him the "denial package" with the DOJ phone numbers.
He says the BOF didn't return his calls for days. When they did, the only thing they would tell him was he was denied for "something" he did when he was 16, nothing more. He can't remember doing anything when he was 16 that would cause a denial. Short of hiring an attorney, can't the BOJ be compelled to be more specific?
Obviously, I'm only relating "his" version of the story.
