Is there any payment I should be sending in with the COE, or is it covered with the livescan payment?

Dumb question about COE

There is a fee which is included with the application made payable to Department of Justice. Can't recall how much right now.
EDIT: My mistake, the $22 fee is for renewal. You should be good to go with the number they give you where you did your live scan and paid for the fingerprinting.Last edited by jtmkinsd; 04-12-2011, 4:47 PM.Originally posted by orangegloWelcome to failtown, population = you. -
It depends on the location. When I got scanned they included all the charges that were required for the COE. Just ask the live scan operator. It took 3 months to get my COE...

I believe you now pay for the COE when you do the live scan.
In the past you would mail in a fee with your application and now they collect the fee during the live scan process.
You should have paid $54 for CA DOJ fingerprint processing & BOF eligibility fee + $19 for FBI fringerprint processing + $xx live scan operator fee.
In the past, you paid $32 for CA DOJ fingerprint processing + $19 for FBI fingerprint processing + $xx live scan operator fee + $22 COE application fee.sigpic

yup, the COE form was revised late last year and explans that you pay the Live scan operator in full for everything,I believe you now pay for the COE when you do the live scan.

http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/coeapp.pdfYou must pay the Live Scan operator a $54 DOJ fingerprint processing and BOF eligibility processing fee, a $19 FBI fingerprint processing fee, as well as the Live Scan operator's fee (Note: the Live Scan operator fee varies by Live Scan site, and the Division of Law Enforcement, Bureau of Firearms does not regulate or set this price).Jack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

The livescan operator was paid, and I am ready to send out the COE.
The instructions are not very clear whether there was a fee to send in or not so to cover myself, I thought I would ask those more in the know since I cannot seem to get ahold of anyone at the 8100 number...Comment
