    30 day question

I opened a DROS on rifles with a customer on the 19th of Feb.

I opened a handgun DROS for the same person on the 25th of Feb.

The customer had a second handgun to buy and called me on Mar. 25th to see if it was ok to open another handgun DROS. I pulled the wrong one (19th) and said yeah, come on down. He did and I figured out my mistake later. I thought 25th to 25th should be ok. GONG! 28 days in February. It's a 30 day violation. The DOJ called and sent me a message through the DROS system to not release the handgun.

    Now, here's my question:

    Now what?

Re-DROS (he'll need to come back in).

You told him to come in... eat the $25 and apologize for the extra 10 days.

Ya...you're pretty much obligated...resubmit the DROS and he has to wait 10 more days.

Right on. I do not mind eating the cost. It's the price of business.

Simply wait until you are positive the 30 days are up and then re-DROS. That simple. Make sure you notify him of the mistake so he knows his new pick up date.
