Say a father loaned his son a handgun years ago and has since moved out of state when he retired. Handgun was stored in son's safe and now father says just keep it.
Does son need to file the intra family transfer form with DOJ and pay the $19 or do they need to go through an ffl and DROS it to the son?
The handgun in question is registered to the father but is not on the roster. It was bought prior to the roster.
If DROS is the answer then would they both need to be present?
Thanks
