Drivers license with old address ?

Question for anyone with experience regarding this issue:

I currently have a valid and current CA DL with my old address on it.

Without getting any temporary cards from DMV, what can I use to buy a gun?

I have my current address (current and valid) on my DMV car registration.

I also have SMUD/PG&E/Comcast bills with my current address.

Would these be enough for a longgun and/or handgun purchase?

    Thanks in advance!

The car reg should work, the brown temp. card does nothing at all. It just has to be a government issued paper.

Turners sent me to AAA for the brown card - Stating my DL and registration had to match...

No requirement that they have to match.

For just about everything else they have to match meaning you should have a brown card with you. When I went to pick up my CCW the sheriff clerk asked if I had a brown card because I have to have one.

However, when going to a gun shop, the ATF doesn't like the brown card so there is no requirement I see it. If your DL does not match then you must bring some other government issued document showing the address on your 4473. The ATF knows it isn't always going to match and that is why there is Question 20.b.

So any dealer that tries to force you to have a brown card, ask them why there is a Question 20.b if must match.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

What about a California State ID? Can I use my Lease Agreement as proof of residency if my old address is on my ID?

Must be a government issued document for the federal alternate documentation requirement. (line 20b)
