So long as it has a fixed magazine holding no more than 10 rounds, it's fine by CA law. It cannot have a detachable magazine, or a mag that hold more than 10. If it's a Yugo model, the grenade launcher must be removed or disabled (i.e. a metal sleeve welded over it). -
Actually, not. If the son brought it to CA and stored it, then that should be legal, but if the firearm is transferred between residents of two different states, then it is not legal. Handing it over to another person, even for storage, would be the issue under Federal law. Under State law, it is also an issue since it is his son-in-law, not his son. The son's mother would be allowed to get it under State law, but still not under Federal law.Kemasa.
