    yah, AFAIK, OCarmory is gonna be the southern-most SOT willing to transfer an AOW to the public. I think there might be a couple SOTs in the San Diego area, but don't know who they are, and if they are public-friendly at all.

    yes, an AOW would be exempt from CA's SBS law (but must still comply with the AW laws (and the Roster when initially transfered)). CSA's response was based on the federal SBS version (not realizing that they offered an AOW version as well).

    I missed that. As long as it can be transfered as an AOW, then , it's legal in Ca.

    That is a SBS not an AOW. Since it's not an over 50 year old SBS, it's not legal in Ca.
    In the description they do mention that they make an AOW version for Calif with their own receiver. OC Armory has one in the shop and can get them as AOW's
