Can a FFL in CA receive a C&R gun from an out of state private citizen? Or do they still need to go through the whole CFD thing for C&R guns?

+1 to what garandguy10 said...with one caveat:
Some FFLs will only accept shipments from other licensees. The law says they can receive shipments from individuals, not that they have to.Originally posted by orangegloWelcome to failtown, population = you. -
According to this CA DOJ bulletin, curio and relic long guns are exempt from the CFLC.
http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/infobuls/2008-BOF-01.pdf.
From the first paragraph on page 2 of this bulletin.
"California Firearms License Check (CFLC) Program
Beginning July 1, 2008, PC Section 12072(f)(1) prohibits all FFL holders (other than Type 03 or 06) from delivering, selling, or transferring a firearm (excluding curio & relic long guns) to an FFL in California unless, prior to delivery, the person intending to deliver, sell, or transfer the firearm obtains a verification number from DOJ"
