    M1A national match to California

I have a customer in California who wants one of these. One of my distributors has on in stock but it says on his description that it is a no go in California. I know they sell these in California so I am wondering if there are models that have features that would make them not legal in California assuming they have a 10rd magazine?

Perfectly legal in California. I'm pretty sure they come with 10 round mags too....

If it has a flash hider it needs to be swapped for a muzzle brake, other than that it's good to go.

Only the ones that have the flash suppressor replaced by a muzzle brake are legal in CA. Springfield designates factory built models with a CA suffix, for example the NA9102 is the carbon steel barrel National Match M1A, the NA9102CA is the corresponding CA model. Be warned, they are in very short supply, and usually on allocation at most distributors. You can also try getting an out of state dealer to swap out the flash suppressor on a non-CA model and ship it to you.

+1. Have them remove the flash supressor and install the SA CA Muzzle Break.

I understand the part numbers, but I wasn't sure what made it not California legal. Either way they go quick when they are in stock. I might just have to have my sales rep get one allocated to him.

Remember that you cannot accept a M1A with a flash hider and then take the flash hider off when you get it. It must be modified to be CA legal before it enters the state, unless you have an AW permit.

I couldn't tell if it was OR/So Cal. So you can remove it and send it in no problem.
