    Legality check

I purchased my first handgun with my 03 FFL on gunbroker.com well the gun
was sent to the address on the FFL which is my house.
My question is can i just put this back in the mail and send it back to him?
he needs to snd it to my local dealer who has a 01FFL so i can do this right.

Keep it in original package and return to sender. Would have been better to not accept the package but I think this is the best option now.

If you complete and mail in the C&R Handgun Report Form along with $19 to CalDOJ everything will probably work out okay for you. I know that you will always be haunted by the fact that you received a C&R handgun shipment directly in California, but there really isn't any way for CalDOJ to know that you didn't pick it up while traveling outside of California unless you tell them.

Two California C&R FFLs that I know accidentally received C&R handguns from out of state sellers directly to their homes. Both of them called CalDOJ (against my recommendation) to ask how to proceed. CalDOJ told them to just send in the C&R Handgun Report form for the handguns and they would be fine, but to never do it again.

Or simply deliver it to the FFL you were going to use and tell them they accidentally sent it to the address and have the FFL log it in from the seller and then start your DROS.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.
