Shipping Handgun out of California

Read a lot and heard a lot. Can someone give me direction on how to legally sell and ship a handgun out of state,Thanks to all.

Has to be shipped to a FFL, an 03 is possible if it is C&R and legal to do so in that state. Has to go UPS or Fedex, unless you can get a FFL to ship it to you by mail. After the deal is done you can file a no longer in possession form with the state if you wish.

1. Find a buyer (Gunbroker, Gunsamerica are two sites on the web that you can list your gun on...it costs a fee)

2. Get money for gun + shipping from said buyer

3. Ship handgun to FFL in buyer's State with copy of your State ID included (make sure FFL will receive guns from individuals...otherwise you may need to go to an FFL to ship your gun...which may be cheaper anyway because FFL can ship handgun using Postal Service)
