    Second COE required? / Hours

I already have a COE personally. I'll be filing a DBA for our corp and naming it as the business entity for our 07 application. My wife is an officer of the existing corp but will not participate in the firearms business. Will we need another COE, either for her or in the business name? Not sure of DOJ requirements on this.

In regard to business hours, I plan to only operate on the weekends. I have seen it suggested that the side benefit would be that there would never be an unannounced ATF inspection on the weekend, true? What is the minimum number of hours per week required on the app?

    Thanks.

Nope. The state just wants one responsible person with the COE. However, if something happens to you, then the CFD is done until she gets her COE and gets on the CFD. That is why we kept two of the partners on the CFD even though we only need one officer with the new corporation.

The feds will want all corporate officers listed as responsible parties on the new FFL.

Thanks for that Wes. Any idea on the hours question?

There are no requirements for hours. Also why can't the ATF take Monday and Tuesday off and show up on Saturday? I just try and keep all of my records in order so I could care less when they come.
