FTF PPT - can it be shipped after 10 day wait?

I live on the SF peninsula. If I find a PPT in LA that fits my criteria, could I purchase it via FTF PPT in LA, and pay for the FFL to ship it to my address after the 10 day waiting period?... or does it have to be picked up in person?

Just wondering, in case I find a good deal while visiting relatives down south for the holidays.

has to be picked up in person. federally, you need to sign the 4473 when you do the pickup. Not sure if there are any additional CA requirements. So, it takes two trips to the FFL.
