Actually the ATF shouldn't care what your business license says, but the CA DOJ will absolutely. Go in and have your business license issuing authority get that on your business license somewhere or the CA DOJ will not give you a CFD number and you will not be a gun dealer.I live in Long Beach, CA. I recently obtained a sellers permit, Certificate of Eligibility, Business License, and submitted my application to the ATF like 40 days ago. My business license states that is valid for internet sales, but i was reading that it has to say "retail sales of firearms". What should I expect next? About how much does liability insurance cost if I'm only renting?
Thanks
Once you have your business license with "valid for retail sale of firearms", COE, BOE number, and FFL, submit it to the CA DOJ with the appropriate fees and you should be a gun shop.
Here is who I have my insurance through.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.
