    bound book question..

    i have a c&r ffl and today i sold a sig p225 i bought from turners in jan..
    since i owned prior to my ffl issuance and it is not a c&r am i required to put a entry in my c&r boundbook??? i am under the impression that i do not..

    It isn't a C&R firearm. It doesn't go in your C&R bound book.

    If it had been C&R, the rules say you log all acquisitions and dispositions while you are licensed, so you would have needed to enter it (as from pre-license status, private collections, etc.) and then log it out. But this doesn't matter, as it isn't C&R.

      Wouldn't a non-C&R firearm sale need to go through a 01FFL?

        You are correct Jim... this is NOT a C&R sale. OP needs to complete PPT w/ Class 01-Dealer.

          Morning John,

          I'm not up on the C&R stuff but wouldn't ALL handgun sales (C&R included) need to go through the DROS process in CA?

          ADDED: Looking at the OP again makes me think I'm off-base here and the handgun was DROSed. The OP just wants to know if he needs to run it through his books. Sorry.

            Correct again Jim... I have one C&R complain like a tic bit hound every time
            he gotta come over to paper a C&R handgun... hhhahaa it's a hoot!
