Retired CA LEO Purchase?

We have a retired CA LEO that has moved to Montana. He comes in for a few months a year back to CA. He does not have a CA driver's license, but a Montana driver's license and a CA Retired Peace Officer ID. He has utility bills from his Ca. address for proof of residency. Can we sell him a handgun without a Ca. Driver's license?

Nope...He has to be a CA resident...if he has dual residency then he needs to get a CA ID card

Odd thing is why he would want to buy a handgun in CA...when it's a whole lot easier in Montana.
