Just how much modification must be done on a PS90 to be legal in our fair state? If purchased directly from FNH (a special project), can it be mailed to an FFL and then modified or what?

Be advised...Cold War Shooters is no more...so Lanworld would be your best bet...they should have CA compliant ones for sale...The gun MUST be made CA compliant BEFORE it ships to CA. Unfortunately FNH won't be bothered making your PS90 CA compliant...so you have to get it done by a third party...or buy one from them that they have already neutered.

1) You must get the OAL to 30" - a) stock extension b) fake can c) longer barrel - may have to compensate bolt.

2) Install bullet button - Check Assault Planet.

3) 10 rnd Mags - Buy a true 10rnd or block off a Hi-Cap parts kit.

Some FFL's will receive the PS90 in two parts and leave the mods to you. Another option is to have the compliance work done by an out of state FFL, then shipped to your local FFL.

Wow, all of those modifications sound terrible - they completely undo all the features that make the little gun desirable. Kinda like a botched circumcision...

I hear ya... The fake can is the most popular route for OAL; its quick, easy, and doesn't change the ergonomics of the PS90. Though if you have long arms, you may want to look for a stock extension. The 10 rnd thing is going to happen with any feature firearm in CA, but it does hurt more when you could have had 50 rnds.
