    husband -wife transfer question

    i want get a full lenght mosin and convert it in to a custom sniper rifle.

    problem is if i use my 03ffl to get a sweet price and then modify it i will be in violation.so could i buy it then "sell" it to my wife then convert it over??

    You will not be in violation of anything except good taste. There is no requirement that C&R FFLs keep their firearms in original condition. If you modify something to the extent that it is no longer C&R then you just need to transfer it like a regular modern firearm if you ever dispose of it.
