Can someone please explain the DOJ's

Exempt and manufacturers programs for dealers who cannot be placed on the CFD for whatever reason? I am an 07 that cannot get on the CFD due to zoning restrictions and trying to get an explanation out of the DOJ os like pulling teeth.

When you say "zoning restrictions" what exactly do you mean? Do you have a business license from your locality to sell firearms?

The city I live in will not allow me to do retail sales of firearms.

I actually finally got a straight answer out of DOJ. My main interest is being exempt from the 10 and 30 day waiting periods. I manufacture ammo and a gun occasionally.

For reference, a manufacturers FFL is for someone who makes over 99 guns per year. An exempt gets you on the Centralized List of Exempt FFL's which exempts you from 12070 PC and allows you to be exempt from the waiting periods.
