worth getting ffl if moving

I've been considering getting an ffl licence ( not sure which one, just want to be a "kitchen table" ffl ).

Only thing is I'm moving next year to tx. I know the ffl is a federal licence, but is it still state dependant? And is it worth even having outside of ca?

You might as well wait until you move and then see if it is worthwhile, based on where you end up. There are many state permits/licenses that you would have to deal with.
