30-Day Wait Question

I have a C&R pistol I bought from someone on Gunbroker coming out of jail soon.

My question is will this transaction trigger my 30 day "cool-off" period because it was delivered to my FFL from another FFL out of state, or will it work like a PPT?

yes, it will trigger the 30-day clock. If it was not DROSed as a PPT transfer (in which both the CA-resident seller and buyer both appeared at the buyer's FFL) then it isn't a PPT/cosignment. If it isn't a PPT/cosignment, then it starts the 30-day clock.

When does the 30 day clock start?
1- As soon as the DROS is done, or
2- After the 10 day waiting period, or
3- After the 10 day waiting period AND after picking it up?

Correct...the clock starts the minute your FFL clicks the submit button on the DROS. If you look on your DROS form there is a date and time on it...30 24 hour periods later...down to the second...lol...you can DROS your next handgun...unless you want to PPT a gun...there's no waiting period for those
