Assault weapons permit container

We are applying for our assault weapons permit. Aside from all the other crap we have to have they require a lockable container bolted to the frame of the vehicle on your permit. What have you guys used for this. I have looked at the Truck Vault series. Husky made one but it was discontinued. I am putting it in an 03 Ford Excursion. Thanks for your help.

Not too helpful, but I know one AW dealer actually went and got an old used armored car...lol

Crazy requirements for AW permit...can't even step outside with the gun unless it's padlocked in a container.

Probably why so few actually go through the headache
