Stolen gun

    What kind of gun was it? I had one picked up but returned when they realized the numbers did not match. It was a WWII P38 which uses only 4 digit serial numbers on all the guns made. It took 10 months to work its way thru the system.

      If it was reported stolen there is an owner. What has the owner said about it? Like is it really the one he reported stolen or not?

        It has gotten much more interesting, the owner has produced a receipt dated 8 years prior to this other person reporting a gun stolen with the same serial number. I think there was a mistake on the serial number in the police report and this will soon be resolved.
