Watch out for Rock River. I have had two experiences with them that didn't go well.
    1. Ordered and received a .458 socomm stripped lower (OLL). It came with no CFLC. I called and reminded them I needed the CFLC # and could they give it to me over the phone. They said I should not have been able to order the receiver and I was to ship it back to them.
    2. Had a customer that wanted a RRA 9mm rifle (again, OLL). No problem, I have a transfer FFL that will add a BB and send her on to me. Nope,,, Rock River says they will only ship to the FFL that pays for the rifle. My transfer dealer would have to mark up the rifle if they will be paying for it. We got the customer a different 9mm AR.

To be fair, I still use RRA for other stuff but forget about AR lowers or completes, OLL or not.

    Just my .02 YMMV

RRA corporate policy is very easy to understand. They will not ship anything with a serial number into CA. Once you learn it, they are a fine company to deal with, very nice dealer discounts.

Come to think of it, alot of companies have the same policy; i.e., Stag and POF. So, maybe the question should be which mfg's are the best to deal with?

Maybe they should learn it also as in item # 1 and there is a difference as Stag will ship to a transfer dealer, RRA will not.

I assume they all have an attorney advising them as how to deal with our screwy legislation, so I don't hold it against the CSR's.

In my experience, Spikes Tactical is one of the easiest and friendliest to deal with.

I would say KIMBER is one of the worse. They ship direct and they will tell you 3-4 weeks and it will be months. I have seen more people get mad and cancel orders for their poor time tables on shipping firearms.

I've hear Kimber was a PITA, nice to hear a real reason why other than the typical "they suck" people seem to love to throw out with no backing information.
