FFL From Home

I wasnt able to find anything in here on this and was hoping someone might know a good answer.

I have been buying and selling some guns lately and also building some for some buddies. I was thinking about turning it into something I can make money from but didnt want to go as far as getting a store or inventory only what is requested at the time or for personal use. Can I do this from my home? Will a C&R FFL work for this? I am in LA county not far from The Burro Canyon Range.

I appreciate any advice that you may have.

If you are in LA county and not in a city, you can not be a FFL as the county does not allow a business in which people have to come to your house.

Also, if you are building firearms, that would be manufacturing, which has extra requirements.

A C&R FFL will not work since that is not for a business.

So basically it wouldn't work. Where can I read more about all of this where its not in a foriegn language. That is if you know of course. Thanks for the help.

Some of it would be on the BATF web pages, such as the C&R and manufacturing issues. As for the LA County, that is based on experience. You could contact LA County license department regarding that.
