    Receiving FFL question: Threaded barrel

Can an FFL receive a threaded barrel pistol from out of state and drop a non-threaded in before DROSing to me?

I wouldn't do it. I don't have an AW permit so it's just as illegal for me to have an AW as it is for any other non-special californian. Either find a AW dealer or have it fitted with a non-threaded barrel before shipping into CA. Of course, the firearm would still need to be on the roster if applicable.

Legally, no. Will some FFLs do it? Probably. I wouldn't.

Copy. Thanks. What would be an acceptable way to receive the gun with the stock barrel? milled threads, locktited thread cap or....?
