    shipping gun without stock?

I would like to purchase an STG-556 from Buds, but I cannot seem to find any maglocks for it instock. Would it be okay for me to have the dealer or middleman ship me the stock and send the barrel and receiver to my FFL?

I know that one has to be 21 to get a complete lower, but since this is already a rifle would it be okay?

    Negative.
Without a buttstock and 16"+ barrel, it would have to be written up on the 4473 as "other"... same as a "cruiser" style shotgun with only a pistol grip.

Have them disassemble it and send it to us. We'll toss on the bullet button for a nominal fee (price of the button probably), and transfer it to you as a rifle.

The 4473 is the federal paperwork you fill out that used to be yellow (some still have this one) and now is white. You fill a bunch of stuff out on the first page about personal info, where you were born and some questions about if the gun is for you, are you a felon, etc... then you turn to the next page and sign at the top. You would have filled this out for every transaction you've ever done since the form was implemented.
