    damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!

got a letter from batf today saying my c&r application was on hold because of {a bench warrant arrest for missing the last 50 bucks of a traffic fine, that was 2003 and the judge order me released immediately with no charges and reprimanded the officer for making me wait overnight in a cell instead of taking me to a judge.} well some where in the paper process of the la court system they never put a final deposition of the bench warrant,i paid 4.75 and looked up the old *** case online and it show resolved and inactive for the original case but nothing about the warrant arrest.
now the batf wants a court letterhead letter stating the outcome to advance the ffl filing, this is the only thing holding my ffl up......

anyone have any ideas for getting the los angeles court to give me a letter????saying i am a good boy..hehe????????????????????????????????

I would suggest calling or going to the courthouse which has the original complaint on file. You should be able to go to the clerk of the court and get a copy of the disposition of your case. Here is what happened to me:

I applied for a concealed carry permit here in GA. One of the rules is that you may have no arrests for any drug related charge. I had a DUI and I wanted to show the judge considering my permit to know that my DUI was not drug related. I went to the courthouse and asked the clerk for a copy of the disposition. As she was printing it out, she remarked: "I see you spent two years in prison for this." I told her that I was in jail for only about 12 hours. She said: "Oh, I see! The "24" is in the months column, not the hours column. I can fix that. Here you go."

Had the sheriff in my county forwarded his background search results to the CCW judge, the report may have indicated that I had a felony. It would have taken forever to straighten out.
