    Tracking ammo amd Hi-Caps

What forms or format do you use to keep track of your handgun ammo sales and Hi-cap Mags?

No tracking required for handgun ammo as of yet. Hi cap mags, I just made up a spreadsheet similar to the ATF logbook. Has manufacturer/importer (i.e. distributor or whoever you got it from), type, number, date acquired. Then on the same page and line, we've got disposition, number, and date. I just keep the LEO credential copy in a pocket and toss a number in the disposition box, then put the same number on the LEO copy. Bob Berthold from DOJ said it was kosher, so we're gonna keep doing it .
My posts are my own opinion and reflect no official positions of anyone other than myself.

What about the mags that were converted to 10 rounds?

Record them in as high caps, record them out as permanent 10-rd conversions. I did that with some XDm mags.

Don't even need to do that. When they come in disassembled you just make them into 10 rounders, no need to log them.

The ones I received were not disassembled. They came with the XDm. So, that is the way I did it.

I log out hi-caps as "Broken Down to Parts" with myself listed as disposition if they came in as assembled hi-caps. That way whether I sell them as parts or converted 10 rounds I don't have any other logging requirements after that point. Granted, if I re-assemble them to sell as complete mags I guess I'd have to log them back in again.

I use a format that I got off someone here in the forums, but it's basically the same as A&D book.

I don't log anything for ammo yet.. I'll have to see what the requirements are, but I'm sure it'll be fairly similar to the A&D book/hi-cap mag log.
