    cobray m11/9 question

I have the opportunity to recieve a cobray m11/9 semi from 1987 with a 10 round mag. It was originally sold in CA but has a threaded barrel. Besides permanently attaching a thread protector or muzzle break is there anything else I need to do before transfering it? Thanks for your help.

You can also just separate the upper from the lower and transfer it as a frame (assuming you can do a PPT) and fix the barrel issue later.

In fact, you could buy a brand-new barreled upper receiver from FTF Industries or Masterpiece Arms and keep the old one in factory original shape, which could help the resale value later on.

No need to ruin the barrel just to be legal when there are other easy and inexpensive ways.

That upper has a threaded barrel. Can I buy that and put it on my lower legally if it's a separate pruchase from the lower?

we sell them without the threads but don't have any without threads in stock right now. We can index the barrel to remove the threads but will have to charge a bit for the work. We just pinned a thread protector over the threads on a Mac-10 .45 acp upper for a customer from Northern Ca., see attached photo. We have the threaded M11 side cockers and the standard top cockers in stock. Please contact me if you have questions or need any parts. You can call me or send me an email. thanks

I do like your fake supressor. Do you also have a steel version that can be tacked to the barrel? can the aluminum be permanently attached cleanly?
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

we sell steel and billet you just need to look through our growing selection to find the right one for you. We offer at least one in billet and three in welded steel plus two different barrel extensions and one muzzle brake all for the M-11 9mm with 3/4x10 threads. you don't want to permanently attach a fake suppressor, its better to turn down the threads or pin a thread protector or muzzle brake.
