    GUN BUYING QUESTION

I have a question for all the FFL's there in southern california. This is how i understand the gun transfer laws so please correct me if i am wrong. You can only buy one new handgun per 30 days, rifles and shotguns have no limit and all private party transfers are unlimited as well.So if i do 10 private party handgun transfers at an FFL dealer it will go through? And there are no limits on how many rifles and shotguns i can purchase in a month as well? And i have to wait 10 days for each transaction to clear right? But if it is a new handgun i can only purchase 1 new handgun per 30 day cycle, correct? Thank you in advance for all of your help and answers to this.

    yep, you can do that.

10 hanguns ppt'd from one seller = one dros.
    10 hanguns ppt'd from 10 sellers = 10 separate dros.

either way, you can do it.

if you are doing a multi-handgun ppt, your ffl would appreciate a heads up. they will need to hand carry that form to local LEO the same day, so a little consideration there goes a long way.

If you get a C&R FFL and CA DOJ COE, then you are exempt from the 1 gun per 30 days, even for modern firearms.

There are reporting requirements for more than one handgun purchased in 5 days, which is an issue for the FFL.

Each and every handgun requires a DROS. You do get a discount for more than one on the same day ($4 per DROS after the first DROS).
