Filling out app for 03 FFL

I got the ATF F 7CR forms off the internet. It said to fill out 2 copies. I send one with my $30 check to the ATF and the other I send to the CLEO with a letter correct?

Am I missing something? I followed the instructions and this seems way easy.

it is that easy. Just send one copy to the CLEO (no letter needed, but including one may help preventing them from calling you up and asking what this is for) and the first copy goes to ATF with payment and the CLEO info of the CLEO tht you sent the second copy to.

You may not use form 7 off of the internet. The form comes as part of a package including fingerprint cards. You should call the ATF in your area, introduce yourself and ask for a form 7 package. Study it carefully before filling it out. Fill it lightly in pencil next. Make sure you are not filling areas you are not supposed to fill in. Print neatly in blue or black pen. Include your photos. Walk on down to the PD, introduce yourself, hand them their copy of the forms, answer any questions they have.

you have to order it from ATF, you can't use a copy that you print off the internet.

Unauthorized Versions of ATF Application Forms
The Federal Firearms Licensing Center (FFLC) is receiving unauthorized versions ATF Form 7CR, Application for Federal Firearms License (Collector of Curio and Relics) from curio/relic firearms collector applicants.

Any FFL applications submitted on other than officially approved ATF forms will not be accepted for processing by the FFLC. The unauthorized forms have been modified from the official ATF version and made available to applicants on public Internet sites without the express permission of ATF.

FFL applications on forms other than those officially approved and issued by ATF will be returned with instructions on how to order official application forms from ATF’s Distribution Center (www.atf.gov/forms/dcof/).

If you e-mail your request, please provide your complete name and address address, the type of license you wish to apply for and a packet will be sent to you via U.S. mail.

not sure what they are talking about regarding the prints and photos, they aren't needed. But in any case, ATF will not accept a computer-printed copy of the 7CR.

OMG. The web site sucks! Tried 3 different browsers and the site just errors when trying to request the forms.

which email address is it to request the forms? they have tons
