    Class 06 FFL

I am already an 01 FFL.

What do I need to know about obtaining this additional license and what does it take to maintain it? I am thinking of branching out.

I am always looking for Beretta D models in 9mm or a Compact Type M.

It's all about ZONING, ZONING, ZONING.

If your local zoning police are OK with you running an ammunition manufacturing business at your location, then the BATFE part will be easy. The fee from BATFE is $300 for 3 years. I think you also need to pay the State Department close to $2000 per year for ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) fees, even if you don't export anything.

AFAIK, it would actually be cheaper to get a Type 07 FFL and then cancell your 01 FFL. If you went 01FFL + 06FFL, it would cost you
      01FFL $200 for 3 years (renewal=$90 every 3 years)
      06FFL $300/3-years (renewal=$300/3-years)

Or if you went with the 07, it is $150 for 3 years, same price for the renewal.

An 07 can make the same ammo that an 06 can, and can sell guns like an 01, so you don't have to maintain two licenses if you have an 07.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
