FFLs near San Francisco and pre-1899/C&R handguns

Greetings:

My fascination with antique pistols has hit a brick wall. A large number of dealers refuse to ship without an FFL or C&R, even if the piece is antique and it would be legal to do so. Additionally I've found a C&R Broomhandle which has caught my fancy. Anyone know a good dealer which would handle such a transaction? Also I assume the waiting period would still apply? Do I need to get the new handgun card (had a BFSC years ago)?

A Mauser C96 is a C&R handgun, therefore it is exempt from the approved list.

If you buy one online, it will need to be transfered through a CA FFL dealer.

You will need a HSC. The BFSC is no longer valid.
You will also need to show proof of residency.

You will have to DROS/4473 it and wait 10 days. Unless, you have a 03-FFL and a COE.
The transfer will also trigger the 1 in 30 day wait on handgun purchases.
