Can and FFL check status of my handgun?

I did an intrafamilial transfer a while ago and I'm wanting to see if the gun is listed in my name now. Is that something an FFL can check on easily?
SCALIA: WTF are you talking about? We can incorporate it under due process. I hate due process and I even think that.
    GURA: Uhhh
SCALIA: Are you trying to get a job at a law school?
    GURA: ....Oh s***
SCALIA: SERIOUSLY STFU IF WE USE PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNITIES THESE F***OS WILL LEGITIMIZE EVERYTHING STFU STFU STFU
GURA: But you hate due process
    SCALIA: I LIKE IT NOW

Just get in the Benz and drive around after dark. The first nice gentleman who pulls you over can do it for you.

CalDOJ will mail you a letter once they have processed your Intrafamilial Handgun Transfer form. It can take them several months to enter it into the computer. The handgun legally belongs to you the second that your family member hands it to you. You don't have to wait for CalDOJ to process your form. The law even says you can own the handgun for up to 30 days before notifying CalDOJ of the transfer.
