    Shipping to HI, C&R ques.

I've never had to ship a firearm and have never used my 03FFL license for anything yet. Here's my situation and I'd like a little advice to keep me from wearing some new bracelets.

I'm selling a receiver for a Remington 1917. I have a guy in HI that's interested and he would like me to ship it to him and not deal with an FFL. I have a 03C&R. I do not know if he has one or not. Due to the age of the receiver, can I ship it directly to him, or does he need to have a FFL also? If I can ship it to him directly, what info do I need from him besides a copy of his DL?

    Thanks in advance.

It is my understanding that he would have to be licensed to receive a firearm across state lines.
