30 day rule, soonest I can start another DROS

I started DROS on a pistol 01-FEB-2010 and am having another one sent the the same FFL next week. When is the soonest I can start DROS on the second pistol? 30 days from 01-FEB-2010 or 30 days after that DROS ends?

30 days from the day you did your DROS. If this was a PPT there's no 30 day waiting period.

So 30 days from the start of the first DROS, correct? Neither are PPT's...

Thats right 30 days. It is best to wait an xtra day or 2. As for PPT you can do as many as you want.

            Ditto.
30 days from the start of the DROS, not the pickup date.
DROS 1 on 2/1, pick up on 2/11 (but before 3/3). You could begin the next DROS on 3/3, but I would wait until 3/4 to be safe... your new pickup date would be 3/13

Keep in mind that it is "ten 24-hour periods"... so if you started the DROS at 6pm on 2/1, and the shop happens to close at 5 on 2/11, you'll have to come back on 2/12.

Get a C&R FFL and CA DOJ COE and then you are exempt from the one gun per 30 days.

thirty 24 hour periods from DROS start. You can wait extra time if you want, but it is a mathematical formula and it doesn't take in a cushion. It is yes or no. Just make sure your math is correct and remember that February only has 28 days and it is by the minute. So if you started it at 12:01 PM, you can't start your next until the thirty days 12:02 PM. I would cushion in ten minutes to a hour for time variances on clocks.

If you do one extra day, then you don't have to worry about the minutes, but the fact is that the time is based on the date and time in the DROS system, so as long as you are past 30*24 hours, then you are fine.
