The DOJ website specifies that acquisition / disposition records be kept on all high-cap mags by FFL's issued a high-cap mag permit. I called the DOJ to ask exactly what information about magazines needs to be recorded in the A-D book. The answer I got was "check with the ATF - and use their reporting requirments". Funny, I didn't think the ATF cared about high-cap mags and it was solely a California issue...
So what info on Hi-Cap mags is there to record other than caliber, capacity, date acquired & disposed, L.E. agengy, L.E.O. ID, or.. out of state parties acquired & disposed from/to, [manufacturer.. if you can tell?]. Also, does anyone manully "tag or sticker" their mags for inventory A-D control?
I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's dealt with this on a DOJ inspection...
Thanks!
