What permits are needed to sell ammo?

I figure this would be the right forum to ask this question.

Right now I have the licenses/permits to sell accessories. What permit/licenses do I need to sell factory new rifle ammo?

I would be getting it from my distributor and shipping it out from here. It wouldn't be too much, maybe 10k rds at a time.

City is Montebello if that matters.

Statewide I do not believe you need a permit to sell ammo. You just need to collect sales tax. You will need to check with your city.

Agreed, your local city may require you to get some additional permits or have storage restrictions of the ammo. For example, even though I don't have a retail storefront my city required me to put mine in a locked cabinet.
